My name is Ashlyn Campbell, and I am a doctoral student in the School of Information at the University of Michigan, as well as a master’s student at the Marsal Family School of Education. My research explores:
I have a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Sociology from Georgia State University (GSU). During my time at GSU, I founded and led the RISE in Computing Stars, a research-informed intervention for freshmen college students in computing alongside Dr. Anu Bourgeois. While my research is deeply human-centered, I have also completed several internships in software engineering and machine learning at companies like Microsoft. Outside of my professional experiences, I am passionate about academic & professional mentorship, STEM outreach, and public scholarship. In my free time, I enjoy writing whatever comes to mind on my substack.
